About The Baldwins

Deanne & Bob Rainville and family

The Baldwins (formerly Maple Leaf Lodge), situated on the shore of picturesque Lake Rosseau, has been welcoming guests to the village of Windermere since the late 1800's. The Main Lodge, as it stands today, was built in 1905.

.

The Baldwins Resort is named after Fred and Mary Baldwin who ran the resort in the 1940's and 50's. Extensive renovations were completed in the 1980's and 1990's by Al & Pat Poutanen. Bob and Deanne Rainville purchased the Baldwins in 1999 when Al and Pat retired nearby. Bob and Deanne live on the grounds with their two daughters, Katherine and Danielle.

The Baldwins' size sets it apart from other resorts. No more than 100 guests are booked in at any one time. This allows Bob and Deanne to become acquainted with their guests and provide individual attention.

The Baldwins Resort has always been renowned for its natural beauty, charm and hospitality. You won't find a friendlier place!
